Sorry we didn't get to see each other last week!

Hey Brainiacs! Well I'm very sorry I didn't get to see you last week. I hope you're all feeling well! I've been thinking about you.

I enjoyed reading all your comments. You all shared some really great thoughts on the book. It sounds like most of you weren't able to finish "Autumn Street". Is that correct? Well, you know what, life got a little busy for me too, and I'm also a little behind in my reading. I agree that it can be hard to focus on two books at the same time. I have that problem too. Do you feel like you just ran out of time, or did you not enjoy the book as much as the others? What did you like or dislike about the book? Does it relate in anyway to the past books or to your new book? Are any characters similar? Let me know your thoughts! You don't have to answer all the questions. I would say just pick one to talk about. I'd also love to hear about your new book. Are you enjoying it so far? I haven't read that one so you'll have to fill me in!

We have a lot of great people who are looking forward to meeting you, so unfortunately my turn is up, but I do know that someone wonderful will be joining you next Wednesday. I'm not sure which person is joining the Brainiacs, but I know all the volunteers and they're all great people. I REALLY enjoyed meeting you and getting to read with you and I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you that in person last week. I hope you keep up your reading! There are so many exciting characters and great adventures in books. So read read read! Please do post notes back to me and I will check in and post a response before you meet your new JPMorgan friend next week.

Autumn Street

Ok! We're going to decide these questions together!
1. When does this story take place? What war? What year? How do you know?
2. What do you think the teacher is going to do with the paintings?
3. What do you think Elizabeth will be when she grows up?
4. What do you think will happen next?

Pick two questions to answer!

See you soon!

Thanks for the fun book club session!

Hi guys!
I had so much fun meeting you all yesterday and talking about Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH! I read some more last night, and this morning, and I'm almost done. I'm really into it! I keep reading because I really want to find out what happens! I really care about these characters and I want to know how it all turns out for them. Do you ever feel that way when you're reading a good book? As you get further into the story, are there any new characters or new developments with characters that makes them even more special to you? If so, who? What it is about them that you like? I'd love to hear your thoughts, so post a comment and let me know! Of course, you can also just post a comment and say hi and tell me anything that's special about the book for you that you didn't get to tell me yesterday.

I'll write more tomorrow. I can't wait to see you guys next week!
